The framing resonates and gets past the anxiety of I need to prove all the values in the first 3 months.
I would add to this is learn the culture at the company and what is valued. Just like fixing what isn’t working that is actually working there, your approach elsewhere may not be valued at a new company. In my experience this is especially true when you move company sizes.
Thank you for this-I really appreciate your approach and insights. One area I’d be especially interested in learning more about is how you’re thinking about partnerships for a product like Lovable. I previously grew a B2C platform and found partnerships to be incredibly effective.
I’ve also noticed that a lot of people in my community use Lovable primarily for front-end development. While the marketing positions it as an all-in-one app, I wonder if there might be value in leaning into some of the specific use cases it really excels at. Highlighting those strengths more clearly could really resonate with users.
Also, I think there’s a lot of untapped potential in the Lovable YouTube channel—it could be a great way to showcase those use cases and build even more engagement.
Anyways - love your breakdown of the first 90 days! I just reached 60 with a new client and thank god I managed to create an impressive growth leaver at week 6.
Wow, I wish I had read this a few months ago, I would have a much better onboarding experience :/ I can tell from the opposite experience that this roadmap is very helpful, specially the "protect what is working now"
hi Elena, you are such a rockstar. whenever you join a company there might be a few people who get threatened by your excellence. How do you deal with the politics when you join a new organization?
"Interim work should always be tightly scoped. If the company can’t clearly articulate what they want you to fix before you join, don’t take the job." We’ve all learned that the hard way… usually with the best of intentions. Such spot-on insights. Thank you!
"Building a founder ecosystem
Doubling down on community
Kicking off integration strategy
Standing up student, non-profit, kid, and [insert specialized user segment here] programs"
That all feels spot on! Awesome to read about your instincts and your process. Stoked to see how the next year unfolds for Lovable.
i love this so much 💕💕💕💕 you are my idol 👏👏👏

Wow, this is the best 30-60-90 day playbook for full-time/ fractional roles.
Thank you for writing this! Super helpful!
These are great insights! I've also relied on The First 90 Days by Michael Watkins; it's a super practical book.

One of the clearest and actionable “starting a new job” flow. Kudos
Great read! I wished our paths had crossed at Miro, but this advice is spot on.
Excellent
