Since past few months I am realizing that being authentic is a way to go. It is helping me put out the things I enjoy doing, and others find it valuable. I don't have a clear monetization plan yet, but I do think if my work is valuable enough, I will figure it out.

Thats some amazing self-reflection. When work gives you purpose, its rewarding just knowing that you have problems to solve, and frontiers to conquer, and in ones own way, leave a dent in the universe.

I know this is an old one but thanks for sharing. I have embarked on this path more recently, although it was less of my own choosing given I unexpectedly lost my job on mat leave, and even though advising is scary i agree the the autonomy is more liberating
